OUR VISION

Concrete jungles turned into productive paradises

FOODCITYBOOST is on a mission to help set the guidelines and policies to support cityscapes that include urban agriculture as a cornerstone of sustainable development. It's about transforming concrete jungles into productive paradises, where communities thrive alongside nature, and food security is just a rooftop away. Through FOODCITYBOOST, the future of urban living is not just green; it's bursting with flavors, colors, and life! Let's roll up our sleeves and get planting — the urban agriculture revolution has begun!

FOODCITYBOOST will:
01

Take an integrated approach in understanding policy, governance, resources power, and the roles of actors play in various types of urban agriculture.

By analysing governance models, mega trend implications, and stakeholder networks from six urban agricultureinitiatives more than 4 pathways for urban farming development will be sythnesised.

It will develop and test 4 specific scenarios in Living Labs, across its Living Labs, including quantification and mapping of benefits and impacts on peri-urban and rural areas.
