Rigas Stradina Universitate (RSU) is an accomplished research and teaching institution and one of the largest universities in Latvia. RSU is a university with strong historical roots in medicine (including food and nutrition), but, over several decades, has come to possess a significant intellectual and theoretical base in social sciences, humanities, law and food systems. Recently RSU has been engaged in looking for ways to build a holistic perspective that could bridge the conceptual gap between food production and consumption.
